Hi everyone. In this post, I shall discuss various geographical terms for regions having same atmospheric parameters such as atmospheric pressure, mean temperature etc. This is very helpful for geography as well as  general awareness section of various Govt. job examinations. 

1. Lines that join places that have same mean winter temperature: isocheim
2. Lines that join places that have same amount of sunlight : isohel
3. Lines that join places that have same amount of rainfall : isohyets
4. Lines that join places that have equal average cloudiness : isoneph
5. Lines that join places that have same atmospheric pressure : isobars
6. Lines that join places on the seabed having equal depth : isobaths
7. Lines that join places that have equal values of salinity : isohalines
8. Lines that join places where an earthquake shock is of the same intensity : isoseismal
