Hi all.

In this post on general awareness, I shall discuss the organization SAARC.


SAARC stands for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). This organization consists of the following countries : India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka,   Bangladesh, the Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan.
It is a regional organization of countries of South Asia.
 Date and place of establishment : 1985, Dhaka.
 Objectives : 
  I) Diplomatic relations
 II) Regional integration
III) Development of economies
Official language : English

First secretary general : Abul Ahsan, Bangladesh.

The Constitution of India has 448 articles in 25 parts . Apart from the articles, there are twelve schedules and five appendices . At the time of commencement , the constitution had 395 articles and 8 schedules . Article is the smallest unit. Numbers are assigned to articles.  Schedules are addendum at the end of the Constitution that may further add to the associated article or describe that particular article. An uppercase letter suffixed to a number, for example, 21A makes it an independent Article whereas a lowercase letter like Art 116(a) is a section of the Article 116 , not an independent Article.
