As you all know, it is a very important topic for Govt. job exams like UPSC, SSC CGL et al. In this post, I shall discuss a few key features of Indian Constitution. The Constitution of India has 448 articles in 25 parts . Apart from the articles, there are twelve schedules and five appendices . At the time of commencement , the constitution had 395 articles and 8 schedules . Article is the smallest unit. Numbers are assigned to articles.  Schedules are addendum at the end of the Constitution that may further add to the associated article or describe that particular article. An uppercase letter suffixed to a number, for example, 21A makes it an independent Article whereas a lowercase letter like Art 116(a) is a section of the Article 116 , not an independent Article. Hi everyone. This is another post on Indian history. In this post, I shall focus on the Vedic civilization and culture. This is part of the category ancient Indian history. Ancient Indian history plays an important role in Govt. job examinations such as UPSC, SSC CGL etc. In this post and subsequent posts, I shall discuss the important facets of ancient Vedic civilization. There are many theories regarding the original home of the Aryans. According to some historians, the Aryans were native to the soil of India . Some other scholars propose that the Aryans came from Central Asia while some of the scholars believe the Arctic region to be the home of the Aryans. The Boghazkoi Inscription , found at Bogazkale, Turkey, bears testimony to the theory that mentions Central Asia as the home of the Aryans.
